Random House, New York, 1967. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good Condition/Very Good. 550 g; X, 278 pages, in original green cloth covered boards, with photographic dustwrapper. Top edge of the text block tinted lemon. The dust jacket has rubbing and short tears with associated creasing to the bottom edge of the front panel and spine section. Now protected. The author argues for the whole of American military and political policy is wrong. It has to greatest and most controversial sections of this book he warns that our actions are not stopping communism but making communists, not preserving freedom or ending the war by continually increasing the power of the American military establishment so that military thinking is today reaching into every facet of our lives and dangerously influencing the determination of our national objectives. -- rear panel blurb Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
