About This Item
London: Eyre and Spottiswood, 1889. 1st Thus . Ill.blue boards, black cl.sp.. VG-/No jacket issued. 26.5 cms x 36.5 cms. Ernest M.Jessop. t.p+34, but text & 17 illustrations on recto only; internally clean, tight and unmarked, bar a few very faint erased pencil marks to frotn endpaper. Full page illustrations integrated with mock manuscript lettering and dec. capitals throughout, generally pink and grey-brown. Bevelled edge boards slightly corner rubbed, black cloth spine ends also a little rubbed (esp.bottom), but boards very darkened, this does appear to respond, at least to some extent, to vigorous eraser rubbing but I leave this joy to purchaser.
