New York: Dodd, Mead & Company, 1928. xii,385 pp. Octavo Original blue cloth. Gilt title on front board and spine. Text block with slight foxing on the edges. Original printed dust wrapper which is missing a portion of the bottom of the spine and top of the front flap. Chipping and closed tears. A substantially completer wrapper but with the described faults. Frontispiece. 52 illustrations. Internally a clean crisp copy. AB 5258. A journalist's accounts of trips in northern Canada on the Peace River, down the Athabasca, Slave and MacKenzie Rivers, from Edmonton down the Saskatchewan and Nelson to Hudson Bay, the Hudson Bay Railroad and the HBC Co in the region. The author has inscribed the front endpaper with a great inscription to George Evans talking about a cross country bike ride. Freeman inscribed the book at the Explorer's Club in New York in 1934. 1928
