[London, c.1880].. 4to. (32 x 24 cm). pp. 1216 + 34 + 60. Full contemporary black morocco, upper cover decorated with recessed central title panel in gilt, spine with raised bands, gilt lettered title and blind stamped in compartments, brass corners and clasps, yellow-coated endpapers, all edges gilt. Title-page printed in red and black. Bible followed by Biblical Cyclopaedia, and Psalms of David. Chromolithographed title and four page register, 31 additional full-page colour plates including coloured frontis., 6 maps and a chromolithograph of the Lord's Prayer. Light toning and occasional spotting throughout, first blank slightly creased - generally a very good copy in a handsome binding. Rev. John Eadie: 1810-1876
