[London, c.1880].. 4to. (32 x 24 cm). pp. XV + 1216 + 60 + 100. Full contemporary black morocco, upper cover decorated with recessed central titlepanel in gilt,spine with raised bands, gilt lettered title and blind stamped in compartments, brass corners and clasps, yellow-coated endpapers, all edges gilt. Title-page printed in red and black. Bible followed by Biblical Cyclopaedia and Psalms, and Concordance. Chromolithographed title, and eight page register, 42 additional full-page plates including monochrome frontis., 15 additional monochrome, 15 coloured, 8 photogravure, 2 maps and a chromolithographed plate of the Lord's Prayer. The leaves of the Concordance at the rear of the book a little tanned but otherwise a particularly clean and handsome example. Rev. John Eadie: 1810-1876
