About This Item
Hamilton, Adams and Co, 1844. First Edition. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. Signed. The front end page has been signed and inscribed by the author, James Backhouse (who died in 1869) in ink. The original, pressed boards are shelf rubbed and edge worn, but remain square and strong. Internally, there is an ex-libris plate under the front board. There are age related marks and small tears throughout, but the pages remain neat and are complete with all maps and plates. The map at the rear has some tearing in it, but is complete. The binding has been carefully repaired and is now strong and secure. In sturdy condition considering the age of the book. JK. Our orders are shipped using tracked courier delivery services.
