Chicago: Rand McNally & Company. Fair. 1950. Reprint. Hardcover. 21 cm. Bound in illustrated and laminated boards. Pulled at staples of inner hinges, particularly the rear hinge. Bottom and top ends of front spine hinge is split and worn, with some paper loss. Front edge of the text block has a couple of small stains. Wear to the corners. Light shelf rubbing . Previous owner's name opposite the title page. Inside pages are clean and unmarked with slight toning. Rand McNally Elf Book 431. Shipping costs may be reduced due to weight and size of book. .

Some terminology that may be used in this description includes:
- Hinge
- The portion of the book closest to the spine that allows the book to be opened and closed.
- Text Block
- Most simply the inside pages of a book. More precisely, the block of paper formed by the cut and stacked pages of a book....
- Reprint
- Any printing of a book which follows the original edition. By definition, a reprint is not a first edition.
- Rubbing
- Abrasion or wear to the surface. Usually used in reference to a book's boards or dust-jacket.
- Spine
