SIGNED and dated "83" by author and singer Luciano Pavarotti directly on the title page. Further signed by Pavarotti's secretary, Madelyn Renée at the beginning of her chapter "Pavarotti as Teacher and Boss" on page 253; Not since the legendary Caruso has an opera personality captured the world's imagination as has tenor Luciano Pavarotti. In addition to being a biography of the world-famous singer, born as a baker's son in 1935, My Own Story also has Pavarotti elaborate on being a tenor, the theories on singing, the opera world and its personalities, and the workings and motivations of the big-talent industry in the 20th century.
