Harper & Bothers, New York and London, 1910. First Edition. Hardcover. Good +. First printing with "Published September, 1910" on copyright page. This copy has the photograph of Mark Twain with shoulders nearly square to the camera and photographers name in the bottom left corner (Binding B, BAL; variant state, Gibson and Arms). Gilt stamped green ribbed cloth with red filling in the "M" of "My". Top edge gilt; 2 frontispieces plus 6 full page illustrations. The volume is bumped on the spine ends, corners, and bottom front edge, with additional wear and light fraying on the spine ends. The interior is lightly toned and a few leaves are edge chipped from being roughly opened (no text is affected).
