About This Item
New York: St. Martin's Press, 1999. First Edition, First Printing. . Hardcover. Fine/Fine. Beechey's second humorous mystery featuring children's book author and amateur sleuth Oliver Swithin, creator of the Finsbury the Ferret series. Swithin has been commissioned to write a satirical article on modern religious practices from the point of view of his athiest ferret and finds himself involved in the murder of a lay preacher, allegedly poisoned by Swithin's minister friend. Boards and text are clean and unmarked, tight and square, not remaindered. Dustjacket is near perfect, perhaps a touch of edgewear, no tears, creasing or chipping, not price-clipped. A very collectable copy.
