A lovely signed first edition of Alec Waugh's exciting novel set in the Middle East, following a Professor and an M.I.5 boss, in the original dustwrapper. The first edition of this work. Signed by the author to a bookplate to the recto to the front pastedown. In the original price-clipped dustwrapper. 'The Mule on the Minaret' is an exciting novel set in the Middle East, following a Professor of History and Philosophy, Noel Reid, as he joins forces with the boss of M.I.5 in Beirut Nigel Farrar. Written by Alec Waugh, a British novelist, the elder brother of Evelyn Waugh. In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original price-clipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. A very small amount of bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Just a couple of light marks to the boards. Signed bookplate to the recto to the front endpaper. A couple of spots to the fore edge. Dustwrapper with some minor edge wear, and a small tidemark to the tail of the front wrap to the reverse. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good Indeed
