NF/none; 676 pages including index; First edition, with A on copyright page; near Fine in navy leatherette baords titled on backstrip and front board in old gilt; stamped "Victory Books Campaign/A Book From/Rochester New York on front paste-down, and with soldier-owner's signature and address on front free endpaper; slight glue staining on paste-down edges; backstrip ends very slightly worn; pages evenly toned but still supple and soft. The short stories contain actual lessons in law, hence the unusual feature of an index in a work of fiction. Introduction by John Henry Wigmore, author of "Wigmore on Evidence.". First Edition. Hard Cover. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Wolf with an introduction by John Henry Wigmore, 676 pages. Navy blue boards with gold print lightly bumped and rubbed, binding square and solid. Pages slightly tanned, previous owner's private library sticker on the front pastedown, dated 12/25/36. Jacket rubbed and tanned with chips and tears, lower 6" of the spine missing, leaving only the title intact, in Brodart.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Poor.
