Y.: Movie Book Club 1972 - 1978 -----The scans you see are the booklets you get. 72 issues of "The Movie Book Club Preview", all are tight clean and square, no names or writing, "Movie & TV Memorabilia" at its best. They start at issue # X (10) and go to issue # 85, missing only 6 issues in that run, but includes 2 unnumbered Xmas issues, also included is a "Membership" card (with name and #) in Very Good shape with a 1/8" closed tear at edge, most issues have 16 to 20 pages, most are in b & w with the early ones having colour. These "Preview" issues were sent out each month. The "Movie Book Club" started some time around 1971-2 (I believe). I have issue #10 (1972 date) and the set runs to 1978. 1 or 2 issues contain loosely laid in "Specials" ( 8" by 10 1/2" special book promos ) from "The Movie Book Club". This is a rare treat. Seldom will you find a nicer collection of "Movie Ephemera". All the Stars, the character actors, and not just the Movies, but TV Series too are here. Individual scans are available of any issue. This set will not be broken up. The total weight packaged is over 2 kilos so depending on location (overseas?) extra postage may be asked. Check out the scans. . First Editions First Printings. There are no blank pages, so its function as a diary is minimal. Very scarce. In Good Condition: wrapper is lightly soiled and starting to separate at ends; old dampstain throughout, most prominent on first leaf; otherwise, clean and tight.

The Mutual Orange Distributors (MOD) was founded in Redlands, California, in 1906 as a cooperative marketing association representing citrus growers in California. Within a few years, the coop included citrus growers in western Arizona. In 1955, MOD changed its name to Pure Gold, originally the brand name for fruit grown by the approximately 2,500 MOD growers. Sunkist took over the Pure Gold trademark when the co-op closed in 1987 due to housing developments replacing the citrus fields and the shrinking number of packing plants. This booklet explains the history of the citrus-growing culture in California and Arizona and provides information on the variety of oranges, lemons, and grapefruit grown and their cultivation and packaging. A map on the back shows the regions represented by the Pure Gold cooperative. Scarce, none located in OCLC. B&w illustrations and halftone photographs. (11"x8-1/2")

A" Leopold Von Ranke a review of his life. by Herbert Baxter Adams;Adams was born to Nathaniel Dickinson Adams and Harriet (Hastings) Adams in Shutesbury, Massachusetts. On his mother's side, he was a descendant of Thomas Hastings who came from the East Anglia region of England to the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1634.[1] Adams received his early training in the Amherst, Massachusetts public schools and Phillips Exeter Academy. He graduated from Amherst College in 1872. In 1873 Adams traveled to Europe to study and write. In 1874 he then moved to Heidelberg, Germany to pursue the Ph.D. degree. There he was influenced by Johann Gustav Droysen and Johann Kaspar Bluntschli, the latter also becoming his mentor.
