About This Item

London: Constable & Company Ltd, 1984. 1st Edition. Green Cloth. Good Plus/Good Plus. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. N/a. 273 pp. 1984. First edition. 8vo. sized. Several photogrpahic plates illustrate the text. A signed presentation copy from the author to his Aunt and Auncle. Flat signed by the author to the title page in blue ink. The presentation inscription to the head of the front endpaper: 'For Aunt Betty and Uncle Alex with love, from Iain v/ '84.'. The text supported by a number of photographic reproductions. A good plus copy in similar jacket. The head and tail of the spine a little bumped with some light associated creasing to the overlying jacket. Some staining to the lower fore-edge ever so slighty affecting the extreme lower margins of the first couple of leaves - hardly noticeable. The jacket has not been price-clipped - it has some shelf wear and is stained to the tail of the front flap - both front and verso and several stain marks to the tail of the verso of the front panel. There is also a stain with tide-mark to the rear flap and rear panel of the jacket - to both sides - in no way affecting the book itself. A good plus signed unique copy.
