Last seen at auction in 1985, only other copy in current commerce has a modern binding. Very Good, 1/2" loss of calf at head of spine, calf rubbed, gilt title and rules at spine a bit dulled. scattered light toning. 267 pages, unnumbered errata page and 8 pages listing subscribers. Known as the "Sweet Singer of Hartford", Lydia Huntley Sigourney was one of the first female authors in America to have a successful career as a writer. BAL 17615 . First Edition. Marbled Calf. Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
