Paris: Plon-Nourrit et Cie, Imprimeurs-Editeurs, 1889. 1st Edition. Quarter Leather. Very Good/N/a. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. No Illustrations. 309pp. A lovely copy of this first edition with text in French. No date - 1889. Bound in quarter brown leather with marbled boards. Gilt embossed lettering to the black title block on the spine. Upper edges gilt. There is light fading to the spine strip with light rubbing to the head and tail of the leather spine strip. Marbled end papers. Previous booksellers name stamp to the top corner of the reverse of the front end paper. Slight rubbing to a few page fore edges. Slight normal age toning to the pages. Very clean and tight. A very good copy.
