The second edition, second impression of this uncommon study of carpentry from George Ellis of the British Institute of Certified Carpenters.Rebound in an excellent quarter crushed morocco binding.With over 1,100 illustrations, this volume features numerous vignette illustrations, alongside eleven photographic plates, and twenty-two folding plates. Collated, complete.With an extensive glossary and index of terms to the rear, this is an impressive guide to the practicalities of carpentry, with sections dedicated to use of timber, use of the steel square, roof construction, excavation, and scaffolding. Rebound in quarter crushed morocco, with cloth covered boards. Endpapers renewed, retaining original half title. Externally, fine. Internally, firmly bound. Pen mark to verso of half title, with extensive amateur drawing to verso of title page. The odd pencil mark throughout. Instances of spotting and light handling marks throughout. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
