Ex libris the late Dennis Stainer, with signed gift inscription by the Author at head of front free endpaper: 'With best wishes, Tom Sheridan'; and also a note dated 16/6/88 on University letterhead note paper: 'Dear Dennis, A rare acquisition! (Since it's out of print). You'll have to buy the next one - due out circa March next. Cheers, Tom'. Lower corners of boards bumped; a mild marginal dampstain to the lower outer corner of the book; otherwise a near fine copy in a very good dust-jacket.
