Methuen,, [1946]. 8vo., Sixth Edition, on laid paper, with coloured frontispiece, 8 plates in monochrome and front endpaper maps; yellow cloth, upper board and backstrip lettered in green, a remarkably bright, clean, crisp copy in unclipped, lightly age-soiled dustwrapper. Novel set against the building of the Manchuria-Rangoon supply route during the Japanese occupation. By the author/artist of the well-known 'Silent Traveller' series. Graham & Cole, F9 (recording the third edition of 1942).
