Publishers oxblood cloth binding with very light wear/soiling, bright spine gilt stamping, front inner hinge shows superficial separation but the volume is tightly bound and covers firmly attached. No markings, clean pages. Frontispiece photo of the author with tissue guard. 368 pages. Archibald Forbes (17 April 1838 – 30 March 1900) was a Scottish war correspondent.
