Hardcover. 16mo. 16cm, seventh edition, 211p., in contemporary full polished tan brown calf, gilt decorated raised bands, full gilt decorations and borders in the panels, crushed black morocco label, triple gilt and blind ruled borders on the boards with device decorations in the corners, gilt flora decorated inner dentelles, gilt roll decoration on the board edges, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt, heraldic bookplate, some occasional slight edge wear but a fine copy in a fine binding (Lt). ~ A finely bound edition of Tennyson's requiem for his Cambridge friend, Arthur Henry Hallam. It is considered one of the greatest poems of the 19th century.
