About This Item
St. Dunstan Society. Good. 1901. Hardcover. Also called "Memoirs and Secret Chronicles - Louis XIV" (spine and inside subscribers' page). Suscribers only. Translation by Bayle St. John. Binding on Volume I is fairly loose, but holding; bindings on other two are solid. Pages are unmarked and only a little aged, except that endpages and subscribers' pages are a little darker. Occasional discolored spots, that might be foxing. Color frontispieces with tissue protective pages; other b&w page (Volume III) also protected. Foldout facsimile certificate in Volume II. Some pages uncut. Ex libris plates. Red cloth covers with pastedown spine titles (chipped) -- some wear and stains. Spines are sun-faded so that titles are barely legible. .
