Account of the 1944 trial and conviction of a Scottish medium in Britain under the 1735 Witchcraft Act, which was abolished as a result; and her subsequent persecution under the 1951 Fraudulent Mediums' Act. The author was an Egyptologist and notable student of the paranormal, with several publications to his credit. Paperback, as pictured. Light wear, minor creases to rear cover & last 40 or so pages, apparently unread; cover mistrimmed, but no loss of internal text. Text clean; 282 pages, index, bibliography, b/w photos. .
