Heavy 8vo. 1146 pages, Bibliography. b/w frontis portrait plaque & 16 plates. 8343 entries with a 57 page addenda. Original green cloth, lightly scuffed with fading gilt titles on the spine. Previous owner's name on the first blank page and their reference notes on the last blank page. First few pages are lightly creased from careless closing of this very heavy binding (3.1kg) including the frontis and title page. Considered the most comprehensive work on the topic, recording near ten thousand items. "Privately printed in a very small edition and likely never to be reprinted or superseded." A rare find in the open marketplace and prized in private collections, this volume will require special shipping considerations due to size & weight. Other photos available. Inquiries welcome.
