Copperplate was a widely used commercial script in the eighteenth century and is again being studied and appreciated for its fluidity and beauty. In a step-by-step manner the author guides a student through the history of copperplate, an examination of the alphabet, numbers, and punctuation, and finally writing in color, using proper paper, and learning how to retouch, correct, and crop. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
