New York: Grosset & Dunlap. Very Good in Very Good dust jacket. 1919. Later Printing. Hardcover. 208 p. 19.5 cm. Copyright date only. 1940's printing. Sound and square binding in red, cloth-covered boards with portrait on upper board. Minor wear to the spine ends and corners. Front and bottom text block edges are slightly foxed. Inscription to previous owner on back side of the frontispiece. Name has been blackened out. Otherwise, the inside pages are clean, bright and unmarked, with slight toning to the edges. Dustjacket has wear to the corners, folds and edges, including several tiny edge tears. The spine ends have been stabilized on reverse side with acid free document repair tape. Both boards and spine have soil and rear panel red ink is a little faded. Spine appears to be yellowed. Not price clipped - 50 cents. The fourth title in the series about Mary Jane Merrill and her adventures. Illustrated with a black and white frontispiece and three pen and ink drawings. .
