New York: Imprinted for George F. Adams in the Art Department of the Blanchard Press, anno 1904. Illustrated by Illuminated (red) letters and woodblock cuts throughout. First thus edition. Original 17x10cm brown cover with red print and decoration (text block 16x9cm). 12mo. pp. [32]. Near Fine. Disintegrating acidic cord binding replaced with acid free flax cord; cover spine and corners internally reinforced with Japanese tissue; three old cord holes reinforced with acid free repair tape. Scarce with original cover. Apparently discovered by a maid in room 2011 of the hotel after a guest vacated. It was turned into management, never claimed and "has been revisited for the most glaring errors in diction and spelling. Ed" [later reprinted by Palala press in 2018, LC copy missing cover and blurb facing subtitle on the discovery by the maid]..
