Rand McNally. The copyright page states 1954 Edition with the letter 'A' just below the date. The dust jacket, which is not price clipped, is protected by a clear, plastic, cover. The dust jacket has a piece missing at the top edge measuring approximately 4." x 1.5" in a irregular shape which starts just to the left of the author's name, on the front cover, and wraps around to the back of the cover. There is slight shelf wear to the boards' edges. Pages are clean and tight with wonderful color illustrations by Bransom and black and white illustrations by Fleishman. Lincoln Park Zoo animals are featured by Perkins who was the zoo's director for many years and television host of Zooparade. 96 pages with the author's note. . Very Good/Fair in a Clear Cover. Hardcover. First Edition 'A'. 1954.
