8vo. 139 pp. Half-bound, leather spine, raised bands, and gilt accents on the spine; overall, the covers show wear. Former owner's name on the title page; interiors with small annotations throughout the text, without any impact, well-preserved.
"Mariana Pineda" is based on the life of Mariana de Pineda Muñoz, a prominent figure in the resistance against the absolutist restoration in 19th-century Spain. It was written between 1923 and 1925 and was first performed in October 1927 at the Fontalba Theater in Madrid.
