New York, 1884. xi,292pp. plus nine chromolithograph plates (including frontispiece). Original yellow publisher's cloth, stamped in black and gilt. Head of spine slightly torn; light soiling to spine. Rubbed at extremities. Unobtrusive library shelf label and canceled bookplate. Else a tight, clean, very good copy. Scarce American colorplate work of medical botany. Johnson was a member of the Medical department of the City University of New York. The color plates were lithographed by H. Bencke. Not in Bennett, nor in McGrath
