(Crosthwaite was inspired at age 7 by Fabian and a noted magician himself. He contributed many tricks to The Gen (1964-1965) and made a name for himself as a card technician. ) Hatch translated from the 1942 German edition and added dditional background information not found in the original. This work covers Hofzinser's non-card originations. Contains an introduction, the original information from the German edition, new illustrations, annotations and an appendix with letters from Dr. Hofzinser to students. Describes more than 80 effects created by Hofzinser. Includes over 100 photos and illustrations often used in Hofzinser's studio.
