About This Item
Chelsea Manor, Michigan, U.S.A.: Stein & Day Pub, 1981. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. A novel of WWII and the clash of two godfathers--one the head of the Mafia in Sicily, the other a don in America who strikes a deal with the U.S. government to aid the war effort. First printing. The pages may show a hint of browning but are crisp and very clean with no writing, marks, underlining, or bookplates. No remainder marks. Not an ex-library copy. Spine is tight and crisp. Boards are flat and true, and the corners are square. The book itself would be graded higher were it not for a 3" water stain on the front board and some tape residue at the bottom of both boards. Dust jacket is not price-clipped but does show minor edge wear. This collectible, very good/very good, first edition/first printing copy is protected with an archival mylar dust jacket cover. Satisfaction guaranteed!
