Preface: "L'ouvrage ... est un assemblage de citations, une espece de Centon compose de passages de différents Auteurs, cousus & adaptés de maniere à former un tout de parties trè-disparates." Somewhat later flame calf (rubbed, some worm damage to boards), spines gilt with rules and ornamentation, leather spine labels, marbled endpapers and edges; spine ends a little worn, but a very good copy.
