Contemporary ink inscription to half-title page, else a near fine copy with some oxidation to the gold on the spine, in a jacket with a small light stain to the spine, which is ever so slightly tanned. The jacket is a little shorter than the book, as in a number of first printing copies previously owned by us. A very attractive example of a scarce book.. 8vo,.
Synopsis
Willa Cather's A Lost Lady was first published in 1923. It tells the story of Marian Forrester and her husband, Captain Daniel Forrester who live in the Western town of Sweet Water, along the Transcontinental Railroad.
