About This Item
Very good book, missing dust jacket. Tan cloth covered binding with red print; light wear to spine and boards. Paul Laune end papers and frontispiece printed on plain paper; binding is tight; pages are clean and unmarked. Original bookstore stamp on rear pastedown. Grosset and Dunlap hard cover, missing dust jacket; 1941 edition; 214 pages. 8vo (5.5" x 7.5") Probable 1941 first printing due to high quality paper, cloth covered boards, and presence of frontispiece. With the onset of war and the need to conserve paper, the publisher changed to cheaper paper stock, cheaper bindings, and eliminated the frontispiece. The Lone Ranger Traps the Smugglers, by Fran Striker, #7 in the Lone Ranger series, preceeded by The Lone Ranger at the Haunted Gulch, and followed by The Lone Ranger Rides Again and many others.
