Reprint. 4to; 60pp; color pictorial boards featuring a Queen's Guardsman in front of Buckingham Palace; color pictorial endpapers; color pictorials throughout text; light scuffing to board edges; unclipped color pictorial dustjacket, scuffing and chipping to edges, scuffing to rear; very good plus in vg dj. First issued in 1959, the book features lively illustrations which accompany the text in a tour of the city of London. The author and illustrator, Miroslav Sasek (1916-1980), was a Czech emigre to Paris from the city of Prague. He is best known for his series of books which tour children around the world and are titled, "This is...".
