Very good. 2 vols.: vi, 418; 416 p. 22 cm. 69 b&w drawings. Half leather with marble boards, matching endpapers and text block edges. Spines faded and corners bumped. Bookplates for Sir Henry Bellingham on front pastedowns. A pretty set.
The register consists of a chronological list of interesting events in and about Newcastle from the Dark Ages to the Reform Bill of 1832. The set appears to have been owned by Sir Henry Bellingham (1846-1921), conservative poltician from Castlebellingham in County Louth, Ireland.
