Blue cloth boards, gilt lettering on a red patch to spine under a cream and blue dustwrapper. 9.5ins x 6.75ins, ix, (i), 387pp plus frontis and 21pp plates.Large part of the front free endpaper is taken up with a presentation inscription ( in lovely italic writing) to a Mr John Hawkes marking his election as an underwriting member. Book F. Dw is rubbed to head and tail of spine and has a small tear to bottom front corner - G+.
