Doubleday, Page & Company, 1902. Hardcover. Good. Six volumes, complete; possibly rebound. Contemporary half leather and gilted-marbled paper boards, gilt titles and decoration at spine; about good, with moderate to heavy edgewear including minor loss at spine tips and fraying to fore-edge corners, and tanned/browned spines, though the gilt is still sharp and bright. Rear board of "Invention and Discovery" is creased and a little bent, with the binding very slightly cracked at rear inner hinge; binding of "Skies and Earth" is slightly cracked at half title; bindings else sound. Gilted top edges; green ribbon markers; gilted marbled endsheets; frontispieces with tissue guards. Endsheets scuffed, and pages lightly toned. Texts unmarked. This item is a multiple-volume set, and may require additional postage to ship.
