Boston: Hall and Whiting, 1881. First Edition First Printing . Hardcover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Octavo. Unpaginated. Hardcover bound in quarter cloth with pictorial paper-covered boards. The binding is rubbed and bumped, and the corners are abraded. The front inner hinge has a wide piece of brown paper pasted down. The gutter between the front flyleaf appears open, yet the binding still seems secure on the book. Text is toned but generally clean. Illustrated with drawings throughout. A collection of little stories and readings by various writers for children at bed time.
