About This Item
Houghton MIfflin, 1874. Hardcover. Very Good. 12mo in 3/4 dark brown calf on marbled paper, spine titles and devices in gilt, marbled endsheets and page edges. The half title states 'in nine volumes', each of which includes two sections, e.g. Vol. 1 has Exile and Intellect. Thus the nine-volume set includes all eighteen sections. All bindings tight and square, hinges firm, modest rubbing at the corners and spine ends, occasional shelf wear to the boards. A very attractive set.
