Two-page broad-side, Collector's Notes from The Library of the Presidents, laid-in loose. First edition thus. Passages from the writings of Abraham Lincoln, selected and introduced by Carl Van Doren. Among the ninety works selected for inclusion are "...the Emancipation Proclamation, a dozen speeches, two score letters to famous people and private citizens, a mock-heroic poem about a bear hunt, a six-page campaign autobiography, and some fifty of Lincoln's brilliant, satirical, and biting "Maxims, Observations, and Comments.""
