About This Item
THERE ARE 55 BILLION PAGES ON THE INTERNET... MAYBE YOU'RE NOT LOOKING AT THIS BOOK BY ACCIDENT.
A GENUINE DATE-STAMPED 1852 1ST EDITION, NOW 171 YEARS OLD AND IN VERY NICE CONDITION
DISCUSSED: THE ALL-SEEING EYE, THE ARCHITECT OF THE UNIVERSE, THE GRAND LODGE, RITUAL, SPIRITUALITY, SOLOMON, THE GRAND MASTER, THE ROYAL ARCH DEGREE, THE EASTERN STAR, THE ODD FELLOWS, SUPREME GRAND MASTER, THE ARK, MYSTICISM, MASONIC HISTORY, THE WORSHIPFUL MASTER, THE ANCIENT ORDER OF MASONS, & MORE
"The All-Seeing Eye shall behold them, the power of god shall collect them together again, and the lion of the tribe of Judah shall prevail to raise them from the dead."
"The All-Seeing Eye, whom the sun, moon, and stars obey, and under whose watchful care even the comets perform their stupendous revolutions, that eye which pervades the inmost recesses of the human heart."
This is a rare, beautiful, and historically significant work pertaining to Masonic History and the Freemason society as a whole. Within its pages, you will find an extensive compendium of writings relating to the craft and much more. With passages speaking of the All-seeing eye, the creator, and many different degrees associated with this secretive society. A very hard-to-find book, especially in this condition. Just for age reference, it was printed seven years before the civil war of 1859. Most of these have turned to dust in the last 170 years; luckily, this book still graces our current moment.
Rob Morris was a prominent American poet and Freemason. He also created the first ritual for what was to become the Order of the Eastern Star.
The overall condition of this book is very good, considering it was printed in the early portion of the 1850s. Of course, it has some normal age, wear, and reading use. The interior pages are fantastic and are still crisp and relatively clean. The binding is tight and firm, and everything is perfectly in its place. The front covers gold motif is still shining and in nice condition with some regular rubbing. The spine has some age and shelf wear with rubbing, minor scratches, imperfections, and some loss to the upper portion. The rear cover is well-preserved. It's a very old book, so it's by no means "perfect," however, for a book printed nine years before Abraham Lincoln became president... Nevertheless, it's been very well-kept.
