New York: Simon & Schuster, 1934. First Edition. Hardcover. Good+/fair. Light shelf wear to the book, more to the jacket whih is edgeworn with a large chip to the front panel; previous owner's name to first blank page, otherwise unmarked. The first American trade edition after a limited edition. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Hard Cover. First edition / printing stated, same dates no others noted. An account of the life of Jesus Christ written in 1849 by Dickens for his children. While Dickens' did not wish it to see print the novelist's oldest son saw no reason not to publish it after his own death if the majority of the family agreed to do so. They did and the manuscript was first published in 1934 becoming the last of Charles Dickens' works to see publication. Every effort is made to ship all books and other items within 24 hours.
