About This Item
Yellow fabric with gilt print, showing wear at the lower corners and the base of the spine. Some soiling to the cover. No dust jacket. Richly illustrated, with a color plate at the beginning of each chapter and illustrated endpapers. Appears to have been some water incursion, but the effects are minor. Written by Dickens in 1846-49 for his children, with no intent to publish. A fairly rare book.
Synopsis
The Life of Our Lord: Written for His Children During the Years 1846 to 1849 by Charles Dickens was actually not intended to be a published work, and is simply a father explaining the life of Christ to his children, in his own words.
