London: William Blackwood & Sons. Good+. 1849. 1849 first British edition. Original brown half leather, with leather spine and corners and marbled paper over boards. Shelf wear and rubbing to the spine edges and corners, with the corners worn through. A few scuffed and rubbed spots to the leather and marbled boards. The hinges are sound and the text block is tight. The pages are clean and tightly bound. And excellently-preserved history of the fur trade and the early American West. ; A beautiful leather the binding, with title in gold on spine.; 312 pages .
