Early edition of The Life of Arthur Duke of Wellington by G. R. Gleig in full calf binding. A new and revised edition with a new preface. Includes a monochrome plate as the frontispiece of an engraved portrait and facsimile signature. Gifted as a prize book. Prize ink inscription to the first free endpaper dated 1869.A good edition of Gleig's biography of Wellington. In full calf binding. Externally, there is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The spine label is missing. There is also some slight rubbing to the leather in these areas. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with some light spotting to the endpapers. Good
