London: T. Fisher Unwin, 1906. First Thus . Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Original red cloth with a few marks, gilt title on front and spine with panel illustration of the Buddha on the front. A little fraying on the hinges, mostly on the back. Area of damp discolouration up to about two inches wide half way down the spine obscuring some of the lettering. Maps and plates collated with the contents list, all are present, small attractive book plate inside. Originally published in two volumes in 1905, this is the first edition as a single volume, Colonial Edition originally sold in the British Colonies and India only.
