This is a beautiful and very in-depth book on Freemasonry. However, it delves much deeper than just writings on the MAsons themselves. It discusses the Illuminati, The Templars, Mysticism, and even mythology. Although it was printed directly after the American Civil War, it has been very well-kept, and even the pages still have a sheen to them. A scarce find and the only one I can trace at this time after researching every major book site on the web.

Albert Gallatin Mackey (March 12, 1807 – June 20, 1881) was an American medical doctor and author. He is best known for his books and articles about freemasonry, particularly the Masonic Landmarks.

The overall condition of this book is good despite being from the 1800s. It does have some normal aging and shelf wear associated with its age. The cover and spine details are incredible for this era, and the binding remains firm, with everything holding very well. It's an incredibly old book; it's not perfect, but it's been well-preserved despite some normal aging.
