About This Item
London: Longman, Hurst ,Rees and Orme, 1809. First edition. Hardcover. pp. 406. 8vo. Re-bound in wine-red buckram with strengthened hinges and plain endpapers. Folding map, 3 folding tables. Large folding map has been re-backed. The binding is a bit pedestrian in appearance but quite serviceable and in very good condition. The contents show expected foxing, mainly near the beginning of the book, but it is not untoward. Overall, a good plus copy of a scarce and important comment on early Canadian political and economic history.
